Throughout my upbringing, my aspirations oscillated between nursing, teaching, and medicine — all professions centered around helping others. However, it wasn't until my junior year of high school, when I immersed myself in the March For Our Lives movement, a gun violence prevention organization, that I discovered my passion for activism and realized the multifaceted ways people needed assistance beyond the conventional sense. I pursued a degree in Public Health in college, but the onset of the pandemic in 2020 illuminated the challenging realities of being a public health professional in the midst of a global crisis. It felt like a compelling sign to follow my lifelong aspiration to be an advocate for others, and here I am today!
Dedicate yourself to diligent work and unwavering commitment to your studies. Strive for excellence on your LSAT to maximize your potential for acceptance into law school. Embrace the journey without fear of "what if's," and disregard any doubts others may cast upon your pursuit of your dreams. My experience in law school has been nothing short of transformative, marked by challenges that ultimately fortify your character. I'm confident that you will emerge from this journey stronger, and in the end, profoundly grateful for the path you've chosen to tread.
My aspiration is to become a litigator. From the moment I stepped into Judge Baggé-Hernández's courtroom on the first day of my internship and witnessed arraignments and pre-trial motions, I became captivated by the prospect of advocating on behalf of others. The thrill of public speaking and the profound satisfaction of combining my passion with the ability to assist others is the ultimate objective I'm working towards. I eagerly anticipate the day when I can proudly declare that I've achieved my dream job.
I'm actively engaged with The Journey to Esquire program, a nonprofit committed to fostering Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion among law school students. This year, I'm honored to serve as an ambassador for the organization, where I also contribute to managing our social media presence. Given my deep personal commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, it was impossible for me to resist the opportunity when I received the email to join Professor Hardrick's program. Be sure to connect with us on social media to stay updated on the fantastic events and impactful training sessions we offer.
